SARWARI QADRI SHEIKH
Sahibzada Amir Sultan Ameer Afzal is a Sarwari Qadri sheikh. In common with all Sufi Orders, the Sarwari Qadri Order stems from an initiatic chain, going back to the beginning of Islam, with the Prophet (peace be upon him) being considered the first Sufi master. The word Sarwari refers to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the word Qadri is derived from the name of Sheikh Abdul Qadir of Gilani (1077-1166 AD), who founded the order at the end of the 11th century.

His contribution and renown in the sciences of Sufism and Sharia was so immense that he became known as the spiritual pole of his time, al-Gauth al Azam. He infused a breath of new life through his powers of speech and the spiritual power of his heart which was gifted with divine grace and illumination. The most famous teacher of the Sarwari Qadri Order is Sheikh Sultan Bahu ( R.A) (1630-1691 AD). LANGUAGE OF SOUL
During writing this article, I experienced wonderful things, when I chose topics for this article I divided it into 5 religious, spiritual personalities, but it wasn't approved by nature. Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) still doesn't want to separate himself with his grandson. When ever, I wrote something about Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) my fingers automatically wrote those lines which had been already used for Sahibzada Amir Sultan. It's an amazing spiritual fact. No one can separate Chan Sultan's ( R.A) soul with his grandson's soul. It is called language of soul. SOUL WITHIN SOUL. Hazrat Chan Sultan (R.A) is still a part of Sahibzada Amir Sultan's life. Both embrace us in the sweetest way. Both sheikhs are perfect in every way. Their love for us cannot be expressed in simple words.

Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) was a vital aspect in all his murid's (follower) life, as Sahibzada Amir Sultan is teaching now a days, how to obey spiritual teacher (murshid) and how to purify souls? I think sometimes, sheikh is very important for us. Sheikh is our eyeball, with the help of him, we see inner souls, and he is our second lobe, just like our spinal cord. He make us straight forward, Sahibzada Amir Sultan is like a precious diamond, which always lives in our hearts & mind. He brings sunshine and laughter everyday for us. He loses his sleep, but never complains! To be a murid (student) of Sahibzada Amir Sultan is an honor for anyone to gain. A sheikh's smile on achievements of his murdis (followers) is worth more than a treasure, his love, his warmth no one can measure.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF HAZRAT CHAN SULTAN (R.A)
Hazrat Akbar Sultan (R.A) used to say:-
"Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal is a special gift from Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammed (P.B.U.H)".
While Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) was still a very young child, but he had already started showering spiritual blessings on common people. The spiritual nectar of the Sarwari Qadri order with its unmatched sweetness was freely given to everyone. Barely in his teens Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal ( R.A) become spiritual mentor of many, instructing people for spiritual and wordly upliftment ( worldly problems). After the departure of his father Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) took over the spiritual responsibility of all his father's devotees and disciples.
AWAKENING SOUL:(DARBAR E AKBERIA)
Sahibzada Amir Sultan Ameer Afzal selected DARBAR E AKBERIAas his permanent residence. Hazrat Akbar Sultan ( R.A) was buried in DARBAR E AKBERIA. He encountered a strange mental state. Natural beauty in its oneness exhibited itself in every object. All terrestrial things seemed submerged in the ocean of an eternal beauty. Totally absorbed in this phenomenon, his person would be submerged in the ocean of contemplation and ecstatic rapture. Both grandfather and son associated with each other in divine love. Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal ( R.A) poured all his knowledge and spiritual power into his grandson Sahibzada Amir Sultan.

Hazrat Amir Sultan is just like a rose, so precious and rare like Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) like forever blessing which comes directly from Allah, planted with kindness. It's warmed by the sun of caring (Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal R.A). This river of blessing is shared by both of them, a sprinkling of grace from Allah. When tears of sadness and joy, murids share with them, renew this blessing, and people get refresh feeling (noor) again and again. All the pains you bear, how can I ever repay you?
He was one who taught Hazrat Amir Sultan Ameer Afzal, what is haqeeqat, what is marifat(gnosis), how to write? How to walk? Etc. According to Hazrat Amir Sultan Ameer Afzal, the colour of his life, the elation of his universe, are due to his grandfather Hazrat Chan Sultan (R.A). Sometimes this question perplexes me, what the word sheikh or spiritual teacher means, I thought with my full concentration, this word may have further meaning that can be understood by proper training. Hazrat Amir Sultan says he's gone east and west, north and south, but he has never seen someone as kind as his grandfather Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal ( R.A)
Hazrat Amir Sultan Ameer Afzal knew that his grandfather who was his spiritual father loved him a lot. He was a great source of blessings of Allah for the people. He was the best spiritual teacher, better then the rest, his love and affection was a garden for the needy people…who were hungry for love. To make them prosper, he sacrificed, he felt happy to sacrifice his own desire for his follower’s joy and now sheikh Hazrat Amir Sultan Ameer Afzal is following his footsteps, as his grandfather is looking at him and saying YOU WILL NEVER LET ME DOWN. Hazrat Amir Sultan Ameer Afzal still memorizes how Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) held his head high up in the air, and never feared what might be there, it is true that I would be bothered, but not if with me was my grandfather.

Few years back, when this world saw the biggest disaster of human life (the earthquake 8th october2005)) We(pakistani nation) experienced pathetic moments, our country's children were dying, they were in trouble. Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A)'s soul was flying high. This disaster occurred when he died (3rd Ramadan) People were thinking Ramadan is a month of joy and blessing, why did Allah select our nation for painful test. No it wasn't test; it was a warning, from Allah. Lovers of Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) were talking about him, their eyes were full of tears, but their hearts were saying, our dear sheikh! Please come to our rescue, we need your help! Please do something, as you did in past. But Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) was smiling gently and saying…DON'T WORRY MY FOLLOWERS! Allah HU beats day and night at the rhythm of Haq Bahu Such Bahu. As you enter at the entrance of this light house which was built by Hazrat Chan Sultan Ameer Afzal (R.A) You feel the glorious image like angels, beauty of angels (Husn-e-malkooti), warm and special feeling….Sahibzada Amir Sultan Ameer Afzal gives you so many lovely things which is given by his grandfather. Which he often says and does, and takes out from bottom of his heart, which is hidden inside him (a true image of sheikh and spiritual teacher).

Happiness always runs into this school of spiritual thought's courtyard, and he always distributes it immensely. Allah always flowers prosperity upon walls of DARBAR-E-AKBERIA. He is a source of hope (sunlight) which knocks every morning at the door of this spiritual school of thought. He gives the news of upcoming happiness every morning. Hazrat Akbar Sultan (R.A) was a waterfall of life with many streams of light around him. His reflection is still found inside DARBAR –E-AKBERIA, symbol of waterfall of light. Some people give only when asked. He was like a waterfall flowing ever with giving kindness, allowing his grace and wonders to fulfill the needs of all, without asking for any return. Thank you, for all that you did. Hazrat Akbar Sultan (R.A) was a great soul purifier.

Na men aalim, na men faazil, na mufti na kaazi hu

Na o hindu na o momin, na sajda daen maseeti hu

Baghdaad shehar di kiya nishaani, ucchiyaan lammiyaan cheeddaan hu.

Shehar baghdaad de tukdde mangsaan, karsaan 'miran',' miran' hu
Bohtee main mann oganharee lajj payee gal us day hu
Parh parh ilaam karaihan takabur shaitan jahay uthay masday hu
Lakhaan no bhoo dozakh walaa hik nitt behishtoon rusday hu

ISHQ-E- MAST:
Chaddh channa e kar rushnai, zikar karede tera hu
Tere jahe chann kayi sae chaddhde, sajana baajh hanera hu
Jithe chann asaadda chaddada, kadar nahin kuj tera hu
Jisde kaaran janam guaaiya, yaar mile ik phera hu
Chaddh channa te kar rushnai, zikr karende taare hu
Galian de vich phiran nimaane, laalan de vanjaare hu
Shaala koi na theeye musaafar, kakh jinhaan ton bhaare hu
Taaddi maar udda na bahu, aape uddan haare hu
ISHQ –E-MUQTADA E KAMALEEN:
Alif Allah chambey di booti, murshid man vich laai hu
Nafi asbaat da paani mileyo, har ragge har jaai hu
Andar buti mushk machaiya, jaan phulaan te ayi hu
Jeeve murshad kaamil bahu, jaen eh booti laayi hu
Alif Allah chambe di booti, mere man vich murshad laanda hu
Jis gal utey sohna raazi hove, oho gal sikhaanda hu
Har dum yaad rakhin har vele, sohna utthda behnda hu
Aape samajh samjhaanda bahu, oh aape aap ho jaanda hu
ISHQ–E-QALANDAR:
Allah paddheyoun haafiz hoiyoun, Na geya hijaaboun parda hu,
Paddh paddh aalim faazil hoiyoun, taalib hoiyoun zar da hu,
Lakh hazaar kitaabaan paddhiyaan, zaalim nafas na marda hu,
Baajh fakeeraan koi na maare, eho chor andar da hu

Translation
Hazrat Sultan Bahu believed in wahdatul wujud (Oneness of Being) and in his prose and poetry, he expressed this view openly and earnestly. Even in the first verse of the first KALAM he declared it; In Risala Ruh Shareef' Hazrat Sultan Bahu (R.A) refers to this esoteric initiation Most of Hazrat Sultan Bahu (God be bless him)’s work is in Persian language...
Those that enshrine the Lord in their hearts, O Bahu, have both the worlds at their command. Lovers remain completely intoxicated in the ecstasy of their love for the Beloved. They offer their souls to the Beloved while still living and thus immortalize themselves in this life and thereafter.*
There is only desire to get Allah except this nothing*

Initiate Bahu in lovers way Accepting Bahu in families tent' *
Whatever you read, read from the name of Allah,
The name of Allah remains with you eternally. Know that Faqir suffers reversion due to this (negligence). Whosoever is the seeker of truth, I am at his service, I shall take him along from the beginning to the end. O seeker,come!O seeker,come!O Seeker! So that I convey you to God the very first day. **
I know for sure that in this universe is no object of worship
But He. He alone exists in both worlds. He alone is the goal. **
I say One, I seek one;
I plant Him like a rose in my heart. I find Him One and Find none else but "He"**.
ABAYAT/KALAM-E-BAHU
Like all the Sufi poet-teachers he never forgets that he is a Murshid (spiritual director). In his Abyat Hazrat Sultan Bahu (RA) refers to the Spiritual Masters when he says poetry. He speaks of love as a dominant passion of his spiritual nature .He refers to dislike of this world in his famous book of prose, the `Abyat' were he says about dirty and ugly world. He teaches and guides. He guides and teaches He invites and calls the seekers of truth to gather in the teaching hall of the murshid in order to learn wisdom and receive blessings, But most of the time in his kalams as if setting an example, he is talking of his own moods and spiritual states and stations ( ahwal-o-maqaMat). He can sacrifice his life for that. Even when he is expressing his feelings, he is teaching. At different places he says about wahdatul wajood. Again, like all the teachers of the Path, the persuasions and warnings are mingled in his addresses. His addresses, messages, poetry & work revolve around ALLAH,aehlai baitt ,peer-e-kamil,divine love (ishq-e-haqiqi),divine love (noor)wahdtul wajood (oneness of God),Spiritual stages,Khana-e-kaaba,marifat-e-illahia(recognition of Allah)and murshid.
KALAM-E-BAHU IN ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
Ah! This worldly life polluted
Washing, bathing all in vain For its sake the doctors, scholars, Crouch in corners, cry in pain For its sake these worldly people Rest not, sleep not. Ah! Their bane! Hermits, mystics, ascetics, Bahu! Burn their boats-the wise, the sane! **
Accursed is life in this world; twice as accursed are they who are attached to it.
Those who have not dedicated their lives to God shall suffer the unrelenting blows of destiny. Abominable is this sly world – It can even prompt a father to kill his own son. Those who have renounced this world will enjoy the delights of the garden that is eternally in bloom. **
Believers pray to God for the protection of faith, but few pray for the gift of his love.
I am ashamed at what they ask for, even more at what they are willing to yield. Religion is quite unaware of the spiritual plane to which love can raise us. O Lord, keep my love for you ever fresh, says Bahu: I shall mortgage my religion for it. **
Come away my wise friend, let's go to the tavern.
Drink deep like a man and remember nothing else but the Goblet and the glass. Pawn the prayer-rug and get the goblet. Cleanse your heart and soul And don't be clever. **
How can the poor falcon fly, for its feet have been bound?
Whoever does not possess love, Bahu, loses both worlds. **
I am ugly and my Beloved beautiful—how can I be agreeable Him?
He never enters my home though I use a hundred thousand ruses. Neither am I beautiful nor have I wealth to display—how can I please my Friend? This pain shall remain forever, Bahu, I will die crying. **
I pecked and ate many grains of wheat, now the string of eternity is around my neck.
I flutter, caught in the noose, like the nightingale in the garden.
I wonder lamenting like the cuckoo, begging that my days don't go by in waste.
Speak, bird! The monsoon has come; perhaps God will shed some rain. **
I have no souvenirs of Baghdad except wounds, long and deep.
My body and soul have
been cut to pieces, like the clippings of a tailor.
I'll wrap a shroud of these clippings around my neck and join a group of beggars.
I'll beg for Baghdad's scraps, Bahu, and cry out "Miran! Miran! **
I have, at last, grasped the beginning and the end: I have seen the whole sectacle of past, present and future Pass before my eyes.
Within my heart are fourteen realms.* Chambers of light – ablaze with the profusion of God’s light. Those who have not realized God will wander, Homeless in this world, destitute in the next. But watch the lovers dance with ecstasy, as they merge into the oneness. **
Intoxicated with His love,
I've washed my hands of the universe. I'm drunk to the soul: I'm sporting with my life in the bazaar. O Friend, intoxicated with love. I've become oblivious of "this" and "that", I've girdled my loin and I'm sporting with my life in the bazaar. **
I'll take a goblet from the tavern, I'll certainly drink deep
That I become free from world and religion, That I cast fire into this world. **
`** Joys of Union
with your Allah If you wish, your master serves Kindly glance of
his, on a rose-bud Turns it into flowery curve Transforms you so
fully, truly Head and heart, and bone and nerve Here and There win
success, Bahu Serve your Murshid with full verve. **
My Master has planted in my heart the jasmine of Allah’s Name.
Both my denial that the Creation is real And my embracing of God, the only reality, Have nourished the seedling down to its core. When the buds of mystery unfolded into the blossoms of revelation, my entire being was filled with God’s Fragrance. May the perfect Master who planted this jasmine in my heart be ever blessed, O Bahu! **

without a Murshid Try to tread and, sure, get lost..... Murshid
perfect keeps you happy In this life and life to come Rids you of
the pangs of hunger Turns to silver pure and shining....**
O man of God, if you seek the way of God,
Then such as it is, it's nothing but troubles and torments. O friend, what else is there but torment? This is the way of purity: No one is accepted but those who are poor.*
Seekers of this world are like dogs wondering from door to door in wonder.
Their attention is riveted on a bone, their lives wasted in bickering. Short on intelligence and unable to understand, they set out in search of water. Apart from recollection of the Lord, Bahu, all else is idle chatter. **
The heart's desire is unfulfilled and distant
My lover won't give it medicine, and it won't mend its ways Hotter fires burn in love's battlefield And, Bahu, I'm in awe of those who charge in. **
The moment I realized the oneness of God, the flame of his love shone within, to lead me on.
Constantly it burns in my heart with intense heat, revealing the mysteries along my path. This fire of love burns inside me with no smoke, Fuelled by my intense longing for the Beloved. Following the Royal Vein,* I found the Lord close by. My love has brought me face to face with him. **
The pure will never be impure, even if they live in filth.
The seas of unity are crashing near, but one's heart hasn't learned its lesson. Some attain the goal in idol temples, while others stay glued to their books in mosques. Many a scholar tossed scholarship aside, Bahu, when he vowed the prayer of love. **
Their eyes sleepless, their faces pale, Lovers constantly sigh in grief.
What has become of these faces that once beamed with youth and vivacity? Love is like musk that cannot stay hidden: Its fragrance cannot but reveal its presence. Only those who abide in realms beyond space Deserve to be called ‘faqir’, O Bahu**
This body is a dwelling of the true Lord, and my heart like a garden to bow down in
Within it are fountains; within it are prayer grounds, within it places to bow down for prayer. Within it is the Ka'ba, within it the qibla, within it cries of "Only Allah!" prayer. I found the Perfect Guide, Bahu, He alone will take care of me****
This body is the temple of the true Lord; Peep within it, hermit!
You need no help from Khwaja Khizr:* the water of life is already within you. Light the lamp of love in your heart to dispel the darkness within and discover the long-lost treasure. Those who realize the secret of God death before dying (and find everlasting life) **.
This body, this desolate wilderness, In which the soul has come to lodge, Is a rapidly crumbling bank of the river of time.
It will collapse – tomorrow, if not today. Lodged on the edge of such a shore, how can a traveller sleep in peace? For where sand and water meet, No embankment can hold, O Bahu**
Were my body to become one large eye, I would not see enough of my guide.
In every cell a million eyes, I'd close one and open another. Even seeing this much wouldn't calm me, what else can I do? Bahu, one vision of my guide is a million billion pilgrimages. **
Wherever the Light of Hu reflects
Runs darkness in despair Oh Bahu! Whosoever realizes Hu Both the worlds are his forever**
When, at the time of Creation, God separated me from himself,
I heard him say: “Am I not your God?” “Indeed you are,” cried my soul, reassured. Since then has my heart flowered. With the inner urge to return Home, Giving me not a moment of calm here on earth. May doom strike this world! It robs souls on their way to God. The world has never accepted his lovers; they are persecuted and left to cry in pain**
When the one Lord revealed himself to me, I lost myself in him.
Now there is neither nearness nor union. There is no longer a journey to undertake, No longer a destination to reach. Love attachment, my body and soul and even the very limits of time and space have all dropped from my consciousness. My separate self has merged in the Whole: In that, O Bahu lays the secret of the unity that is. **
You have read the name of God over and over, you have stored the holy Quran in your memory, but this has still not unveiled the hidden mystery.
Instead, your learning and scholarship have sharpened your greed for worldly things, None of the countless books you’ve read in your life has destroyed your brutal ego. Indeed, none but the Saints can kill this inner thief, for it ravages the very house in which it lives. **
You will find the singular Beloved if you gamble your head.
Be drunk in the love of Allah, always saying "Hu! Hu!” While contemplating the name of Allah, control your breath. When essence blends with Essence, only then will you be called "Bahu." **
